NOTE FROM MR. CAVANAUGH The school year continues to move forward. Students have a tendency to let down on their studies during the last third of the school year. Please make an effort to follow up with your child. Use Family Access to check grades. Many students are involved in a host of extracurricular activities during the spring. They are still
responsible for the assignments they miss. It is critical that your child be in school daily. TAKS exams will be given during the last week of April. Teachers are striving to insure that every child is successful. Kids must be in school to benefit. CHS staff will be calling during the morning hours if your child is absent and we have not heard from you. Please help us by calling the attendance office before 8:30am at 275-6691/6157/6158 or 277-8286 if you know your child will be absent due to illness or out of school that day. Thanks for your support in making your child a success. NOTE FROM MR. CAVANAUGH We ask your help in encouraging your child to follow rules regarding cell phones and other electronic devices. Students are not authorized to use their phones or MP3 players during the school day. Students may use those devices before, during lunch, and after school - OUTSIDE the buildings. Please do not call or text your student during class hours. It will earn them a consequence and a fine for return of the device. |
